The popular view of SHTF and bugging out is one in which a tidal wave of sh!t is about to rein down on you and force you out of your house.  In my opinion, the choice has been made for you and it is an easy one.  Don’t fantasize that it will work out this way as there are some situations in which the decision will be much more difficult.

Go to fight a politicians war and be away from your family?

Dodge the draft, stay and risk imprisonment?

Or Bug out and become a hermit from society?
