In 1995, our U.S. Congress formerly recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel via the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995. This legal recognition, however, is now overshadowed by more recent statements made by Vice President Mike Pence which may frankly border on outright deception. On January 22nd, 2018, Pence made a public declaration to Israel which included the following excerpt:
“By finally recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the United States has chosen fact over fiction, and fact is the only true foundation for a just and lasting peace,”
With the keyword of “finally” being of important emphasis here, it’s obvious that not only is the administration counting on the sleeping masses to believe this to be an important new accomplishment by the current White House staff, but also, that the stage for creating unbearable tensions in the Israeli region is actively being set under the guise of “peace.” With recent similar statements made by President Trump already causing unrest and backlash from Palestinian sympathizers, it’s safe to assume that this additional announcement by Pence will not just add fuel to the fire, but political dynamite.
“The situation is unbelievable, untenable,” Nabil Abu Rudeineh, a spokesman for Abbas, said in a recent interview. The only way for the United States to regain status as a peace broker is for Washington to reverse its decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, he said. But he doesn’t expect that to happen.
But it doesn’t end there. From a Biblical timeline and prophecy perspective, this year marks the 70th anniversary of the United States being the first sovereign nation to recognize Israel as a Nation State. To understand why this points to giant prophetic possibilities, I encourage you to check out my previous Biblical prophecy timeline, Prophecy Uncovered! The WORST Year the World Will Endure.
