“Hail Mary” is Worship to Mary

I hope this video provides more meaning to the words Catholics use and the actions they take.  If you are Catholic, open your eyes my friend and break free of the indoctrination.

What you are doing here is looking at some uses of the word “hail” in (especially recent) history. Please consider, that only in English the “Ave Maria” is translated with “Hail”. In Latin it is “Ave” Maria, in German “Gegruesset” seist Du Maria (NOT “Heil Maria as in “Heil Hitler”), in Spanish Dios te “salve” Maria – i.e. it is an expression of greeting. It is the expression the Angel Gabriel used when he greeted Maria (Luke 1:28).
Furthermore the Ave Maria is biblical:
Hail (in the sense of greeting) Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee (Luke 1;28)
Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb (Luke (1;42).
The second part has been added later by the Church: Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners, now and in the hour of our death.
Jesus, on the cross, gave us his mother as our mother when he said to Mary “Woman, behold thy son” (Jn 19;26) and to John “Behold thy mother” (Jn 19;27).
Catholics do not worship Mary. Worship is for God alone. Catholics honor Mary as Christ honored his mother.
You do a lot of good work, but please do not disrespect Mary through whom our Lord came into the world for our salvation.

    • This is not disrespect to Mary, but truth with how the RCC leadership and the Vatican drive worship to Mary through their prayers and actions. Just look at what prior popes have said about Mary in their encyclicals. It leaves little doubt as to the motivation:

      Here are just some:

“God has committed to her the treasury of all good things, in order that
      everyone may know
that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all
salvation. For this is his will, that we obtain everything through
      Mary.” (Pius IX: Encycl., Ubi primum, February 2, 1849.) — [p. 12,
      number 12]

“O Virgin most holy, none abounds in the knowledge of God except through
      thee; none, O
Mother of God, obtains salvation except
through thee, none receives a gift from the throne of mercy except
through thee.” (Leo XIII: Encycl., Adiutricem populi, September 5,
      1895.) — [p. 12, no. 13]

With equal truth it may be said that of the great
treasury of all graces given to us by Our Lord—for grace and truth came
by Jesus Christ—nothing comes to us except through Mary’s mediation,
for such is God’s Will. Thus, as no man goes to the Father but by the
Son, so no one goes to Christ except through his mother.” (Leo XIII,
      Encycl., Octobri mense, September 22, 1891.) — [pp. 13,14, no. 19]

        Mike, thanks for your reply.
Catholics do not recognise this description of them. Mary is not being worshipped. Jesus is always the main focus. The name of Jesus is in the middle of the “Ave Maria” (strangely translated as “Hail Mary” in the English Language only, but long before Hitler even appeared on the scene, but is only an expression of greeting).
The life of Jesus is being contemplated in the Rosary, with the help of Mary who “pondered these things in her heart (Luke 2;19). It is never about Mary, she always points to Jesus and leads us to him. This is also the focus of the encyclicals from which you quote. If you read the full text it is about “to Jesus through Mary” and never about Mary herself.
Also, the vast majority of papal encyclicals throughout the centuries are about Jesus, and only very few deal with Mary.
Furthermore, the role of Mary is being more and more suppressed in the Catholic Church these days. Children are often not even taught the “Ave Maria” in Communion Class or Catholic Schools. As I understand, seminarians training for the priesthood will, in general, not study the encylicals you quote.
On the contrary, since Vatican II with its ecumenism and universalism and general “opening to the world” the role of Mary is downplayed in order to fit in with the protestant denominations, other religions and the secular world.
Pope Francis gives only lip-service to Mary – so people can say that he is Catholic (which many doubt!). In practice, he offends her by releasing documents changing Church Discipline (for example the one on annulments, in effect bringing about “Catholic Divorce”) on her feast days, or giving the OK to project a pagan-occult lightshow, which you covered very well) onto the Vatican walls on a Marian feast day. Other examples are leaving a beach ball in a Church dedicated to Mary on his return form World Youth Day in Brazil, leaving a Communist Cross at a Memorial to Mary in Bolivia, and even blaspheming her saying that she would have said “I have been betrayed” at the Cross.
The Catholic Church is not your enemy (we could go on and on to discuss various Bible quotes and interpretations, and I’d be certainly happy to counter the numerous inaccuracies in the video you link to), but I think it is most important to understand what has happened to the Catholic Church in recent decades/centuries. It has been infiltrated by Freemasons/Illuminati, Communists and militant homosexuals (and crossovers between those), in order to destroy the Catholic Church, the last bastion upholding the divine and moral law, from within. Look up “Alta Vendita”, or the testimony of Bella Dodd, ex-communist and convert to the Faith who was responsible for getting communists into the priesthood. Many of them have advanced into high Vatican Office.
Archbishop Bugnini (later identified as Freemason) changed the ancient Catholic Mass to a service that very much resembles Cranmer’s Anglican Service (there were Protestant observers at Vatican II who were especially involved with this New Mass), called incidentally “Novus Ordo Mass”, which translates as New Order Mass, which led to millions of people leaving the Church, a crisis of vocations and a crisis of Faith.
The election of Pope Francis was applauded by the various lodges. He is advancing the Masonic ideal of “One World Religion ” and the “One World Government”. He does not focus much on Mary, ridicules faithful Catholics, mocks them as “Rosary Counters” etc. But he is going to celebrate Luther’s 500 year anniversary and will even travel to Sweden for that, he is calling for opening the orders to Muslim immigrant… and you know all that. He is not by any means promoting devotion to Mary. Also, all the Popes of the 20th century have not complied with Mary’s request at Fatima to have Russia consecrated to her Immaculate Heart in union with all the Bishops of the World. You may want to look up the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima on 13 October 1917, witnessed by over 70000 people many of whom came as sceptics and non-believers and reported on by the Portuguese press (then under Masonic control and set against the Catholic Church). It’s historical, there has not been and never will be an explanation for the miracle of the Sun. Either you stubbornly deny this fact or you have to acknowledge that Mary has indeed appeared to the three children, the same Mary that God, in his wonderful providence gave us as our Mother, when Jesus exclaimed on the Cross “Behold your Mother”.

Let me begin with quoting from the King James Bible: “And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.” It’s in the Protestant Bible, and it says “Hail”!!!

Further to my last post, I would like to add that the full 3rd Secret of Fatima has not yet been revealed as it should be in 1960 and only a very dubious explanation of Lucia’s vision has been offered by the Vatican. Some of those who have read it (but were sworn to secrecy) hinted that it has to do with the “false” Vatican II Church and a severe divine chastisement about to happen. Please study Fatima as it is very important for our present time and so for the work you are doing. Mary, at Fatima, asked for the prayer of the Rosary – exactly the contrary of what you suggest, which is that the Hail Mary should not be said.

You may also wish to look at the battle of Lepanto in 1571, where the Christian West was saved miraculously through the prayer of the rosary, called for by Pope Pius V, from defeat at the hands of the Ottoman Turks, against overwhelming odds. Otherwise Europe would have become Muslim. This historic fact is not taught in today’s schools, even in Catholic ones.

As an American Protestant you will probably never have experienced a Catholic Culture with true devotion to Mary which is always centred on Jesus Christ. The video you linked to portrays a distortion of the Catholic Faith. I will show you from scripture that Mary is truly the Mother of God. The Angel said to Joseph “…, do not fear to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit” (Mt 1;20) and “when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the child (John the Baptist) leapt in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit…”. This shows that John recognised the divinity of Jesus, whilst still in Mary’s womb. Mary then gave birth to Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, true God and true man, in time. She did not give birth to “only the human nature” (you do not give birth to a “nature”!), but to Jesus Christ who combined already then in his person both divine and human nature. She gave birth to him when he became man i.e. in time. Before time, we confess with the Nicaean Creed (from 325 AD) “I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, and born of the Father before all ages. God from God, light from light, true God from true God. Begotten not made, consubstantial with the Father, by whom all things were made.”

With regard to the horrible claim of “necromancy” made in the video you link to I would like to make the following points, from Scripture, for your consideration: 1) Jesus said on the Cross to the good thief “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise”. – If Jesus could take the good thief with him to Paradise that very day, how much more would he want his mother, to whom he was obedient in his life (Lk 2;51 and Jn 2;5) and who suffered this much with him (Lk 2;35), to be with him in Heaven? 2) “For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed (Lk 2;48) – this refers to someone who is not dead, and don’t Catholics do precisely this when praying “Ave Maria, full of grace, blessed art thou among women…”? 3) “And a great sign appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;…” – Could this possibly refer to a woman other than Mary?
I could repeat repeat Jn 19;26-27 “Woman, behold your son!” Then he said to the disciple (whom he loved who stands for all of us) “Behold your mother!” – God gives us a Mother !

Mike, if you have only an ounce of a doubt, please do not go against the expressed wish of the Blessed Virgin Mary to have her rosary prayed. You would want Mary on your side! The devil hates Mary and hates the rosary. You’ve got this one wrong, you couldn’t know as a Protestant, but now you do know – I’m sure you are honest in your search of the Truth and you were sincere when you said in your last e-mail that you do not wish to disrespect Mary. Please withdraw the video denouncing the “Hail Mary”. May God bless you and protect you and lead you to the fullness of the Truth.
